Testimonials
Metal flashing doesn’t self-seal and therefore leaks. The pro of metal is that it is inexpensive, but many county codes no longer allow it because it leaks. Trex Seal flashing tape is better for waterproofing because it self seals. Trex Seal is designed specifically for deck installations, both in its function and size.

Metal Flashing is easier to install, but less effective. Trex Seal tape is a bit harder to install but a more efficient sealant.

Trex Seal is a more complete seal from water damage.
